Bhavana

 

Bhavana Saxena has been devoted to painting for over 27 years, specialising in traditional PHAD, floral, figurative, and heritage architectural art. She holds an M.A. in Drawing and Painting from Rajasthan University and had the privilege of learning the traditional art of PHAD painting under the guidance of President Award winner Shri Shree Lal Joshi.

Passionate about sharing her knowledge, Bhavana regularly conducts workshops and seminars in schools, offices, Lalit Kala Akademi, and other creative platforms. As a freelance artist, she works across multiple mediums, including oil, watercolour, pastels, charcoal, and acrylic, with a strong focus on architectural, figurative, traditional, PHAD, and Tanjore paintings.

Bhavana is associated with the Kalaneri Art Institution and Gallery, and she also works as a curator, organising and conducting art exhibitions across India. In addition, she nurtures artistic dialogue as the administrator of the WhatsApp group ‘Kalacharcha’, which connects more than 300 eminent artists from across the country.
